چکیده
Este ensayo se centra en la recepción de esmeraldas neogranadinas los virreinatos Sicilia y Nápoles, donde eran talladas para su engaste obras joyería platería como lo demuestran ejemplos emblemáticos, especialmente índole religioso, conservados el sur península italiana. Alrededor estas piedras preciosas, generalmente denominadas Europa “esmeraldas del Perú”, tratarán aspectos relativos a comercio, contrabando, falsificación valor simbólico. Por último, establece una relación entre custodia Compañía Jesús Bogotá, conocida La Lechuga, un ostensorio napolitano.
